CRM 331: Corrections   Prison Survival Guide Exercise

The assignment for 9/21 involves searching for a prison survival guide on the internet and writing a 1-2 page review of it. (Specifically, summarize the information and tips contained in the guide and list any questions and/or disagreements you had with the advice given.)

Please note - this is an archived assignment from the Fall 2000 section of CRM 331 Corrections. The most current version has additional information on this topic.

The survival guides can be found a few ways. As I suggested in the syllabus, you can try a good search engine. I happen to like Google and have provided a search box below if you would like to use it. Just move the checked box from 'Search PaulsJusticePage' to 'Search Web'

Also, Yahoo's directory has an interesting section on Crime that has an expanding number of links on prison, including a category for prison survival guides. Unlike search engines, Yahoo is a directory, which is compiled by actual people who have reviewed the websites themselves for quality. The Yahoo Crime section is a good resource for criminologists and I'd suggest you check it out.
